One of the best brunches in Quebec city! Cool staff and awesome atmosphere.. highly recommended.First time i tried blood sausage and loved it👌
Excellent little restaurant in St-Roch. My dining companion and I put ourselves in Lou's capable hands who suggested a charcuterie board, rabbit, blood sausage, as well as some token veggies. Everything was excellent. At the end of the meal they bring you a box of digestif options that you pour at your leisure for $3/shot. Gotta love a place that trusts their passions with the honour system. Before or after your meal check out Kraken Kru for oysters and drinks, Grendiel for beer, and especially Chez Tao for cocktails
We had one of our most memorable dining experience here! We did the Tour Lyonnais, their tasting menu, and tried many delicious dishes that we wouldn’t have otherwise known to order. We have never had so much food in one sitting in our lives - you cannot come hungry enough. The staff was helpful and hilarious. The restaurant really made you feel like you were dining in your crazy experimental chef friend’s test kitchen.
We love this place, but you really have to want this type of food or it’s a bit tough to make a choice. Everything we have had there is delicious and the owners and staff are wonderful.
Absolutely spectacular food with a charming atmosphere and very friendly, laid back service. We mad a reservation for 10 for brunch and showed up with 15 people. I was embarrassed, but they could not have been cooler about it. $25 for Prix fixe group brunch is the best food deal I've ever experienced. Great wine, unbelievable charcuterie. Will definitely be back next time I'm in QC
Amazing food and extremely friendly staff!! The portion sizes are large and filling. Definitely worth it and for the quality of the food and amount they made, the wait time was relatively short. A great experience and in my opinion the best food we ate in Quebec City!!!
An amazing ambience, friendly staff, and delicious food. We started with the variety platter, which is a must. A definite place to check out.
Would recommend! I came for brunch and left the place with a loosen belt. Definitely need to try their sausage - housemade, unique flavoring, and coarse grind. The service was amazing. The host was friendly and enjoyable - he took his time explaining the menu.
Cool family charcuterie store and restaurant! The charcuterie plate was outstanding! Service was very good as well! Thanks!
A last minute reservation at what appeared to be a trendy, easy going spot, turned out to be a wonderfully pleasant culinary surprise. The decor and table settings have a rustic, homey feel, and match well with the various dishes. And the service is peppered by an authentic euro-charm. I am somewhat hesitant when it come to offal based cooking, which Le Pied Bleu specializes in, so we stuck to the basics. We had the mixed charcuterie plate, the beef wellington style bread wrapped sausage and the rabbit. They were served with some roasted potatoes as a side. All the dishes were delicious, and left us craving for more, although the quantities were just right for the two of us.
Great restaurant with tasty food and awesome hosts.
When you go to this restaurant, you must be very hungry for meat. Vegetable is a laugh in this restaurant. The atmosphere is very rustic. And the owner made it very well.Food (meat) is simple but amazing. At lunch time, coffee is free. I dont know if it is the same at evening. The staffs are super nice and super motivated when they describe the meal. Unless you want a vegetable meal.
Amazing food! This was my first time visiting Quebec City and I'm so glad I found this place. Meat here is of an extremely high quality and service is great too.
From the shared tureen of pate to the rabbit stew and the fish quounelles, we had an amazing meal. The space is a remade house that feels a little like you’re in the kitchen of a friend’s place, and the service is both attentive and a little quirky-funny. We ended by having one of each of the five desserts and each seemed better than the one before.
Simply perfect. The food was excellent and so was the service. Amazing warm ambience and totally reasonable prices. A must try.
Amazing place for brunch in Quebec City. Servers were attentive and fun and food was beyond compare! Prices are a steal for the amount and quality of food you get. A plus is that they have a serve yourself, unlimited coffee and toast station! Would highly recommend!
Great restuarant. Cute atmosphere. We started with the charcuterie board. The bread that came with the charcuterie was a bit hard to chew and even bite into. I got the soy/tofu dish which was truly delicious. My family got the fish stew. The sauce for the fish stew was amazing!! You just wanted to dunk all the bread in it.
Delicious food, amazing service, and a wonderfully quaint ambiance. What more could you ask for?? My boyfriend and I had to roll ourselves out of the restaurant after the enormous brunch we had. There's a fill your own drip coffee station— and plot twist: the coffee's actually good! Even better, there's a toast station with the most delicious fresh bread, butter, and homemade jams (we can vouch for the blueberry vanilla one 👌). If I could give it 10 stars I would.
Try the black pudding ... you're welcome!
Amazing black pudding. I would come back to Quebec City just to visit this place again. An absolute hidden gem!
Absolutely delicious food! Everything came out in a timely fashion and the servers were very nice about explaining the menu (written in French) to English! The waiter recommended a great bottle of wine to go with our meal as well. A great way to end a trip to Quebec!
Cute and cozy restaurant! The server was really kind and helpful. He welcomed me a lot and recommended their signature menu! Also, the French dish was really authentic and has pretty high quality. Highly Recommend! Worthy to visit :)
first bite to eat we had in Quebec after a long red-eye flight.we just headed out by foot from our place a few blocks away andjust walked by this restaurant by chance and went in.lucked a little table by the window and had just about the best breakfastin my life and i'm pretty sure my wife would agree that this is a veryspecial place that i will never forget and hope to visit again soon.food is just amazing, service is perfect not too much not too little.PS. you have to make your own toast, cool.
As the sign says, a pig is butchered a week, and prepared into various charcuteries! Allô products are homemade. Charcuterie can be ordered in a takeaway pizza box for dinner parties. Local cheeses are for sale. The brunches are highly recommend. Each brunch plate will please the palate, esp. the plate with "breakfast boudin" (blood sausage with beans and bacon inside) on french toast is insane!
Excellent place with lots of authentic charm and interesting menu
great food and friendly staffs. they can speak english very well.
AVOID THIS PLACE unless you dine out of dumpster. Gross tasteless food. At first I thought a bunch of eccentric guys. Chipped mismatched plates ... but my fears came through with tasting appetizers and worst foie gras in Canada followed by tasteless butcher leftover that somehow they had cooked. These clowns have been getting away with this since no one wanted to admit they've been fooled... it's emperor new cloth syndrome.
We walked forever to get here for the best Charcuterie in Quebec City. The servers were so friendly and explained the menu of the day. We opted for a medium Charcuterie to share. They offered endless coffee and toast with preserved fresh fruits. The only beer was an IPA which was amazing. While some of the meats weren't our favourite it's likely that we don't have the advanced palate. All of the staff from chef to server welcomed us and we're friendly throughout. We didn't know they closed after brunch/lunch but they invited us to stay and enjoy. Their fresh bread is too die for....seriously fresh and a chewy crust. Highly recommended.
If I can give an extra star I would! Food was out of this world. The fine evening started out with a bottle of white wine, and an amazing french cider. The menu was in French, but the server and chef explaid it to us in English. We all ordered something different to try. Considering the circumstances and how busy it got, they forgot to bring out one of the dishes. We had no issue with waiting a bit, but Felix one of the waiters came over with complimentary shots of Vodka for us (He was the best with his upbeat attitude, and great singing). To finish the night off we got upside-down apple pie which got flambé at the table by the chef. All the dishes were on point, and to die for!!! They sell their own charcuterie if you want to take home. I even got to talk with the owner, he definitely has a passion for this place! Thanks again for an amazing evening, will definitely come back.
A true bouchon Lionnais
Traditional meets contemporary Quebec cuisine. Awesome brunch
We enjoyed an excellent meal for a party of 14. Service was exceptional and food was as well. They will not let you leave hungry! Highly recommended country style restaurant.
Amazing food and awesome service. Super nice people 😊
Great service! Great food! Definitely a place to return!
So disappointed by this place. The service was horrendous (1pm on a Sunday afternoon - It wasn't busy), we were in a weird corner table in the window and we felt forgotten. My food was lukewarm and it was like pulling their arm to get a coffee refill. Only after I ate did I realize that they have coffee and toast stations that customers can serve themselves at - they never ever mentioned it to us. We just felt like we were a nuisance and like we were bothering them when we called them over. Would not recommend and definitely wouldn't eat there again.
My wife and I went here for Dinner on the recommendation of our close friend from Quebec City. I’m very very glad he told us. Our experience was 10/10. Every morsel was incredible and the conversation we had with the hosts was so warm and friendly. We will be back every time we’re here
Fantastic experience, amazing hospitality will come back for more..great!!!
Amazing service! Food is amazing.
Great experience in French county cooking. GF and I went for the tasting menu ($50). Included tripe 3 ways. 😃 Sat at the bar and had a great time with Fabrice and company. Definitely will return on next visit to Quebec City.
I loved this place. The service is the best service I ever had in a restaurant. The place is worth it for the service itself. It's like being at home, at friends. Don't let the decor decide what this place is. This place is awesome. And you know what, after a meal there, you'll love the decor as well! :) Go there by yourself, as a couple, with family and friends. The vibe is awesome, the wine selection is perfect. Lots of fun. The food was great, but I realized I am not that big of a fan of tripes (texture, taste), and we were served a lot of it. The boudin noir was excellent. I'll go back there and probably ask them to not serve tripes and I'll be more than happy. But the food is awesome (and if you like tripes, you'll be in heaven).
Unique French country style brunch!!! We tried the special brunch menu for 8 ppl at $20 each and the experience was delightful. Friendly and knowledgeable waitresses made our experience pleasant. Highly recommended!
This place feels like the kitchen of a real French grandmother and it’s amazing! The charcuterie plate had some interesting and good cuts of pate on it and the portions are huge! It’s nothing fancy, but a good home cooked style restaurant with things you probably can;t eat anywhere else
Amazing, fresh, tasty, one of the best restaurants, and meals I have ever eaten !
Amazing place. Totally recommend
Came to Quebec city for good food and we found it. Amazing hospitality, super friendly staff. Food was fantastic, definitely recommend the meat platter. If you want French cuisine this is the place to be.
Extremely good restaurant, but on a expensive side.
The best restaurant we have ever eaten at. Along with the food being delicious the service was amazing. No time during dinner, which by the way was 4 hours did we ever feel rushed.
I like the authenticity of the food here, family friendly. if you're a foodie, you got to make a stop here. they also offer a great brunch on weekends
The service was ok and the food as well. I was expecting a more traditional lyonnaise expérience.
If I could give 6 stars I would.Great place, great food, great people. If you're looking for something fancy and high end restaurant... look somewhere else. It looks like an old place (that's the objective), friendly and different, loved it.Did I mentioned I the employers were amazing :D 6 Stars :D
